Our property's story over time
Before 1890
Snoqualmie people
Before industrial logging and highways, this river system was the main travel route for the Snoqualmie people. They lived here for centuries, relying on the river and its banks for food and resources, and organizing community life around the seasonal cycles of the floodplain. After white explorers and settlers began arriving in the 1850s, historical accounts describe the Snoqualmie often helping newcomers find their way through the dense, difficult terrain of the Snoqualmie River Valley.
